Study Resources
Resources such as encyclopedias, bible handbooks, word studies, and commentaries are important, but you will want to do your own study first. You will always need a concordance and a good English dictionary for all your study. At times you may have to refer to bible handbooks and encyclopedias during your study. You should wait to refer to commentaries until you have done your initial study. They are necessary to compare your work to in order to make sure you haven’t ended up in some classic theological error, but they can have too much influence on your own study if you go to them too soon.
