You are never anonymous to God, but what about those times that you don’t feel like you are in the spotlight, when you don’t feel like much is happening in your life, when you feel like God is not using you?
There were thirty years of Jesus’ life before he began his public ministry. We know little about that time, but we do know that he didn’t work miracles until his baptism when the Holy Spirit came on him. So what happened during the rest of the time? Luke says of this time, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
Our life must be molded by God before we can be expected to be used by God. It may not seem as flashy, but this is where the real work happens. Sometimes we think God is not working in our lives because we are not looking in the right place. This weekend will explore the dynamic of spiritual development in lives in transition.
