Gene Breitenbach

Gene was born in Seward, Alaska and was moved south to Washington State by the Alaskan earthquake of ’63. He attended college at Western Washington University and graduated with a BA in English Literature and a music minor. He added a couple of extra years to his undergrad degree so he could indulge his interests in science, drama and ministry.

Gene became a Christian during his one and only year of community college. His grounding in the faith came through his involvement in Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at Western Washington University. After graduation, he interned with the ministry there and then he and his wife, Lynn, became Chi Alpha’s first national evangelists, traveling and working with college ministries throughout the US and Canada. They both served as campus pastors at Western Washington for five years ad then returned to the road once more.

Gene and Lynn moved their base of operations to Boston and joined the Boston Metro Chi Alpha staff in August of 2004.

Gene and Lynn have three children: Laura, Patrick, and Aaron.

Gene’s hobbies include reading, writing, Photoshop work, biking, and kayaking and scuba when possible. He also enjoys model making.
